Bottle from Tesco, Durham, £2.09/500ml. Pours dark amber with disappearing foamy white head and obvious carbonation, possibly from secondary bottle fermentation. Aroma is malty, biscuity and oddly reminds me of popcorn. Bitter with a long finish but still very drinkable. Some underlying fruit. Smooth but slightly thin palate.

6th Feb 2015: shared bottle in De Bierboom (Brugge). Nice blend of flavours after drinking some big hitters this calmed everything down a little. Amber bronze body with a white topping. Both the nose and taste were semi-sweet maltiness and a mild orangey citrus flavour, nothing too special, but a pleasant and easy drinking bitter nonetheless.

Half, cask at Richard John Blackler in Liverpool. Next to clear amber coloured body. Tiny white head blanketing the glass. Leafy hops and toffee on the nose. Dried fruity flavours added by brown malts. Malt-fruity bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. Pretty nice (01.02.2015).
