Cask @ Crown and Anchor, Findhorn.......Golden lager-colour, clear with 1cm white head....Aroma of light malt, bit of bitter hop, slight citrus..Taste of biscuity malt, slight fruit, bitter hopping and a bit of citrus, rather lager-like. Palate..plain bitter finish......Overall - quite a nice drinkable beer, not outstanding in taste and aroma, but OK. Easy drinking beer.

I bought this while on holiday in Northumbria. After getting excited about craft brewing, unfortunately this took me back 10 years to the wishy-washy ales that forced me over to lager. The aroma, appearance and palate are all verging on bland. The one thing in this beer’s favour is that none of these mediocre qualities overpowered the others, so at least there was balance in the palate.

Bottle, from brewery shop. Creamy, pale amber ale, excellent taste, melon aroma and flavour, with a gooseberry tang and fine carbonation. Strawberry and creamy peach late on in the finish.

RPillsbury (115) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2009
Cask at the GBBF 2009. I had high hopes for this one since I like Workie Ticket a lot, but flavours were distinctly average. The aroma was a bit fruity but nothing much there either. Some fruit and hops were in the flavour but it was bland overall. A bit of a disappointment.

Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Light amber with a creamy white head. Full bodied with a fairly complex hop profile. Decent.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber with a dense creamy off-white head; fruity aroma; smooth and creamy texture, almost nitrokeg style but without the gas; dry and fruity with some apricot and orange; well-balanced bitterness but a rather sweet finish. Very pleasant.
