2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask at the GBBF 2009. I had high hopes for this one since I like Workie Ticket a lot, but flavours were distinctly average. The aroma was a bit fruity but nothing much there either. Some fruit and hops were in the flavour but it was bland overall. A bit of a disappointment.

Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Light amber with a creamy white head. Full bodied with a fairly complex hop profile. Decent.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber with a dense creamy off-white head; fruity aroma; smooth and creamy texture, almost nitrokeg style but without the gas; dry and fruity with some apricot and orange; well-balanced bitterness but a rather sweet finish. Very pleasant.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours standard pale bitter, good bitter hop aroma. Taste is very fruity, strawberries, apples and such, hoppy bitterness, light hay-like finish. Nice light drinking beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Slightly hazy copper pour witha wispy bubbly white head. Nice malt presence in the aroma. Softly sweet with honey glazed nuts and a mild herbal hop note. Nice mild carbonation, cask-like feel to the body. Flavor has a rounded malt sweetness and an earthy yeast character. Honey nut flavors are there as well with a mineral touch. The hops are mild but balance the initial malty sweetness. The hops also give off a honeysuckle-like note.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Edgar Wallace, London 3/7/08. Amber coloured with a decent, off-white head. I would agree with the comment below about there being something unpleasant lurking in this beer. It compromised the decent fruity aroma and also was prominent in the finish. The best thing about it was that it was only a half pint.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
At the Rake with Harrisoni and ChrisO & Reakt, 9th April 2008. Golden amber in colour. Malty aroma is spoilt by unpleasant undertones and the flavour is likewise funky and metallic. Whatís more, it clings to the mouth, prolonging the discomfort. A poor beer.

Cask, Eagle & Child, Oxford. Bright copper, off-white head. Very bright green plum aroma, apricots, freshly tanned suede leather. Tannic grapeskin fruit, clean lightly sweet malt, strawberry esters. Lots of flavor volume and interest.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A Sim rate (cask somewhere or other, canít remember): Tastes as metallic as an old penny. A rusty and malty one. Slightly bittersweet finish. Smells very slightly citric with a little malt. Watery bitter colour. Watery palate. Pretty bad.
