I seriously loved this beer. Very robust body, nice subtle hop profile with a massive maltiness. I had a very hard time trying not to drink this too fast. I just kept wanting to just guzzle it. One of my new favorites, I think.

One of the best draft beers I’ve tasted in a long time. Watch it ! It’s a bit on the strong side for the UK and you’ll notice

Cask at The Penny Black, JDW, Bicester 17-06-07 poured a copper colour, gloriously sweet with some fruit struggling through. This a wonderful smooth easy drinking beer that I’m suprised is higher rated, I loved it, only the fact that it is a bit one dimensional lets it down otherwise it’s a corker.

500 ml bottle served cellar cool. Beautiful dark gold body with a thick white head. Floral hops and a bit of bubblegum in the aroma.I taste bitter marmalade and digestive biscuit flavours, sweetness perfectly balanced with the bitter finish. In my years of drinking in the real ale pubs of Tyneside, I can’t remember encountering this on draught, and I think I probably have, but assumed it would be a run-of -the-mill strong bitter, and ordered something else, mores the pity. It’s much better than that

Hey, this is another fine effort from these young but already distinguished brewers! Very nice balance and extremely drinkable! Not a big finish but you will keep going back for more!

Attractive golden colour, head a wee bit too thin, lasts ok tho! Pleasant sweetish malty flavours with good citrus fruit hops. Finish is good, lingers well! I like this, would buy again! Bottle from Asda Galashiels.

Bottle. Amber beer with a strongish soon dissipating head. The aroma is highly bitter and toffee, and the flavour is the same, very well hopped, with heavy bitterness and toffee. Overall a good well flavoured and strong bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
