Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 12, 2005 [Cask at Charlies] A hazy amber beer with a small amber head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and nicely hoppy. The flavor is roasted and very fruity, lemon as well as hints of grapefruit, coming from the nice aroma hop, the flavor also contains notes of caramel, and has a nice dry end. The body is thin. Oakes (6819), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 30, 2000 Malty pale ale with an almost chalky note and plenty of yeasty complexity. yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jan 9, 2008 From cask at Charlies. Pours golden deep orange towards brown with a lasting dense off-white head. Light caramel malty aroma. Flavour is solid caramel malt with a slight spice note and sadly also butterish. Very very smooth liqourice note towards the finish. Mild bitterness in the finish. harrisoni (5109), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 9, 2005 Cask at County Hotel (JDW) Ashford.
Not quite ready to be on yet, but still passable even for that. Ruby brown with off white head, good balance of malt and hops. Malt on Nose and in mouth with dry bitter hop finish. After a long day at work, it was very welcome to find this beer. Hildigöltur (5051), København Ø, Denmark Jun 9, 2005 [Cask conditioned] Brownish amber coloured. Nice malty and fruity aroma. Malty flavour with a hop bitter finish. Very nice.
