On draft at Canaan wvalley ski lodge. Pours black with a thin tan head. Roasted malt nose. Chocolate and coffee notes. Burnt chicory finish. Nice stout.

Growler from brewery. Watery black with lite head. Aroma has coffee, malt. Tastes of chocolate and sweet malt. Pleasant enough, but thin.

Sampled at GABF. Pours a watery, opaque black with some beige head. Malty nose, burnt toast, vanilla, toffee, bread crusts. Sweet, malty flavor, vanilla, caramel, molasses. Medium bodied, dry finish. Good, solid stout.

Black color, brown head. Sweet, roasted taste. Medium mouthfeel, dry medium high bitterness. Sweet, malty, roasted scent.

Dark beer with a creamy tan head. Sadly it didn’t last for long. Toasty and roasty with coffee. More bitter than expected, which was a good thing. Pleasant aftertaste taste is same as beer. Creamy, thick mouthfeel with only some carbonation.

Draft. Smokey/ashy chocolate malt aroma. Black-brown with moderate head. Lightly smokey chocolate malt and mildly bitter hay and ash finish. Very nice.

Draft at brewpub. Pours black with an inch of khaki foam that leaves a trace of lacing. Slight hint of roasted mat on the nose. Notes of dark chocolate on the tongue. Finises clean. Solid.

Black pour with tan head and medium mouthfeel. Medium roasted malts, dark chocolate and light coffee notes. Well. Alanced as favors feed off each other nicely. Nice stout

Tap. Pours deep, dark brown with average, creamy tan head; short retention and decent lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, earthy hops, figs, light vanilla, and faint smoke. Flavor is balanced roast malt and hops (light bitterness) and faint supporting dark fruit esters; dry, dark chocolate finish. Medium body with low carbonation and warmth.

On draft at the brewpub. Poured black with thick khaki head that quickly resolved. Flavor of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts. Bit thin.
