3.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20 Sikash (171) - North Carolina, USA - NOV 8, 2012
Pours a nice copper color with an off white head. Unfortunately from the tasting glass i am not getting much of the aroma. Flavor has a nice smooth bitterness that is very clean. Mouth feel is medium and smooth. Overall a great beer but i am missing on the aroma of an ipa. Maybe it is just the tasting size.

Oh yeah, feel that, my first WV rate with only like 8 yrs on RB of unsuccessfully scoring a beer brewed in this state. Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a pale gold body that exhibits a slight haze (hop haze I hope) body and supports a thin white head of foam. The mild aroma offers up hints of earthy to ever so slightly spicy hops and a sense of malt sweetness in the background. The taste has a mix of sweet malts and earthy to slightly spicy hops. I get a snippet of maybe pine hop resin bitterness showing up here and there. It ends pretty modest and soft on the palate with a touch of earthiness heading off into the after taste. WV just got “ticked”

A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops citrusy and herbal. Decent carbonation. Nice balance. Medium bitterness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

On draft at the brewpub and multiple times at Mountaineer Field. Poured hazy copper with thin film of head. Some splotches of lace. Sweet, caramel flavor with a dry, mildly bitter finish. Not anything special but I’ll continue to drink when I’m in town to support the craft scene.
