At the sour Tasting @ DSG, many thanks DSG, pours red to brown like plum juice with a small head, aroma of cherries, leather, lemon, mold, nice sourness and a touch of straw, flavor of cherries, lemon, fresh leaves, brett, pickles juice, nice sweetness, zesty, medium to full bodied, amazing kriek

RBESG 2010, Grand Tasting, bottle
Cloudy dark amber color, with red shades; small head. Nice ripe cherry aroma, sweet. Some cherry juice flavor, some sweetness, lightly oxidized, the sourness is present but low. Nothing special.

This bottle -shared with Mikkel is from around 1985. The lable ws hardly readable and one could say that it is unfair to rate this beer when its that old - But hey - you just take in to consideration that its a kriek that old and then I think we will be fine. The pour is pink and pretty thin - it kinda reminds me off ligt strawberrie flavour water. It has a tiny white head. The aroma has still a major cherry atitude but is follow by cork and vinegar. The taste is actually still fine even though its 25 years old - amazing. Its still fresh and sour with lots of cherries and without any oxydation. The palate is medium with a dry mouthfeel. Thx for sharing

1986(?) bottle shared by Ange. This one has decently well withstood the wraths of time. Though heavily oxidized and thinned out, and completely flat, it retains a mild acidity and unmistakable cherry note throughout. As with most very old lambic, the aroma and the flavor are at complete odds with each other; in this case, the flavor has little left to keep it going, instead being the kind of beer that you just want to smell and not sip. Some tobacco, ash in the flavor.

6th June 2010. RBESG 10 Grand Tasting at the Brasserie 4:20 warehouse. Hazy red beer. Light crisp palate. Tart but sweet fresh cherry. Minerally fruit, really cuts through. Finishes crisp.

Bottle at RBESG Rome Grand Tasting, apparently vintage 2000. Pink colour, white head. Aroma of cherries, musty, yeast, tart. Flavour is dusty, cherries, cardboard, light butter, oxidation, not too sour but not very refreshing either. Light bodied. Not very good imo.
