Tap at Feige’s Stammhaus, Bochum, 27/04/13. Clear chestnut brown with a decent sized light beige head. Nose is dark malts, light toffee, sugars. Taste comprises dark malts, caramel, sugars, light bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish. Ok stuff.

Kind of water for this dark amber beer. Not sure exactly how this should taste for the style but does taste of lightly toasted malt and some earthy hops. Ok beer but nothing out there.

strong yeast aroma, light roasted notes of caramell, good carbonated less foam

Looks great; nut brown color and silky head. Aroma of roast grains is there, however taste is slightly metallic and abrupt. Dark roast grain bitterness is their, but as bierkrug said, something’s missing...

0,5 l swingtop bottle. Dark brown in colour, nearly black. Slightly malty and bitter in taste. A bit too bitter for an alt maybe. Nothing special at all.

Another good beer out of the private brewery in Bochum, Germany. Gentle sweet taste of roasted hazelnuts with some bitter, refreshing ending.

Straw golden/amber colour, white head. Faint smell of caramel, malts. Taste is soft caramel, a bit malty, with a nice bitterness.

The head is medium. It smells roasty, a bit sweet-sour. The taste is a bit bitter, a bit roasty. In the aftertaste hoppy and roasty. Not a typical Altbier, the aftertaste is the best. 10/8/8/9/10/8

Bottled. Amber color with a off-white head. Roasted malt and some sweet aroma. Flavor is pretty much the same with some bitterness and long aftertaste! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone 4S
