Bottle, sent by Pivnizub - thanks!
Pale golden, light greenish tint, huge fluffy white head.
Fat grainy, aromatic and herbal aroma.
Grainy, slightly hayish malt base balanced with dry herbal and grassy hops. Light body, sparkly mouthfeel. Very dry herbal exit with staying power.
Good one!

In honor of pivinizub and MoritzF - thanks a lot pivnizub ! Medium white frothy head, medium lasting. Light golden color. Fizzy carbonation. Light hay nose. Intense hoppiness - very dry finish - long lasting. I like it a lot!
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 pivo (2540) - GERMANY - MAR 19, 2006
Light sweet wet hay nose, yellow color, spongy head. Light pale malt, broad dirty hop bitter that drys the inside of the upper teeth like a dry martini. Light and refreshing, but not so interesting in the end. A good session beer.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20 pivnizub (8046) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - APR 1, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2006 From the tap: Quite pale with a firm, long lasting white head; stupendous aromatic clear hoppy nose - like walking in a hop-garden in late summer; light to medium body; the initial short sweet maltiness swings to a big explosion of hoppiness before a big dry, hoppy, long and longer lasting finish. Lacks a bit a fuller body, otherwise, all You Bitburgers and Warsteiners: this is an almost perfect Pils in the north-german style !
Re-rated 8/7/06: Draught, served in a stein: Superb aroma: fresh sweet hops with a lot of resin; strong bitter flavour, but a very smootrh mouthfeel as well. An extraordinary german Pilsener !
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 MoritzF (7835) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAR 22, 2005
Clear golden colour with foamy lasting, nice lacing white head. With its wonderful grassy full pack of aroma hops revealing nose with a smooth medium bodied malty start, followed by a very dry bitterhoppy longlasting aftertaste, this fine northern style Pilsener is heavy underrated. Very bitter on bottle, it is way better on tap, but almost nowhere to get but in my (new) hometown Bochum in the Ruhr area. Besides the many corporated mainstream brews, I´m quite proud of this lovely private brewery and its exceptional Pilsener beer !
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 rauchbier (3409) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - NOV 28, 2004
Bottle, from some cheap supermarket in Köln. Gold, moderate white head and gentle condition. Gentle graininess initialy in the nose but with some starchiness creeping in (or out) with time. Chalky graininess and low hop in the mouth becoming quite dry and bitter in the finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bierkoning (9035) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - AUG 11, 2004
Swing top bottle. Soft hoppy aroma with mint. Firm hopbitter flavor and afteratste, that hardly leaves room for other flavors. Well made pilsener of the Northern German type. Medium bodied.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - OCT 22, 2003
Clear golden. Hoppy, slightly skunky. Crispy, hopbitter taste. Fairly decent Pilsener.
