2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. A light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of straw, and so is the flavor, leading to a good bitter finish. Quite refreshing.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. [Trade with DerDoppelbock, thanks Sebastian] Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spar lacework. Clear sparkling body with a yellow color. Aroma of light bread, caramel, grain, grass and some fruity notes as well. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with light bitter notes. Light dry and sweet finish. Really nice German Pilsener.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled (BB 10/2007)
Golden color, good white head. Buttery and herbal hoppy nose. Good woody hoppy and malty flavor, medium-bodied. Very nice late cut grass bitterness with buttery notes. Hoppyness continues in the long aftertaste. Praised here with reason, excellent clean brew with nice balanced malt and hop profile. Solid inheritor of Pilsner Urquell.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled (thanks DerDoppelbock!). Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is grassbomb along with some malts. Flavour is grassbomb hops along with slight malty- and saltyness. A very wellbalanced brew, even though the grassyness was abit much for me.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hotel shack party cad. Bottle from der dopplebock. Im happy about this rating as i had no idea what the beer way and rated it 3.7 without knowing its a good pilsner, which tells me i must know how to rate a decent pilsner at last. Aroma of pilsner biscuity malts with a good load of grassy hops. Taste is similar a loa of hops in here but never too bitter, good palate cleanser also.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
One of the best pils’ out there. Extremely hoppy, but not at all too bitter. It’s maltiness and hoppiness makes it almost salty. Some perfume, mosquito spray, grass and herbs maybe. Very full. Smooth taplike carbonation.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A nice crisp pils, yet still only a pils, and enjoyable after some home project work tonite. The pour was its best feature, nice golden color with a very thick and rich foamy head. The lacing was quite solid also. The aroma was strong grass, some grains, and a light hint of vegetables or herbs. The flavor was strong dry grass over an almost bready initial light malt flavor. With increasing temperatures, the grassy hops took over and this was a rather hoppy bitter beast (for a pils anyway). Somewhat dry mouthfeel enhanced by a significant level of carbonation. Not bad. Much thanks to MoritzF, who through this one in as a gift in a trade with DerDoppelbock. A nice opportunity to sip a rare brew. Prosit!
