Fairly rich golden colour. Sparkly. Fairly hoppy nose (heavy mossiness) with hints of seabreeze in the pale malt backbone. Rich hop palate with a firm backing malt note. One of the better pilsners for me this year.

Bottle Dec 2007, thank you Joss (Jonas). Pours nice golden color but not heady. Dry aroma of clean hop. A killer dry hop bitterness pervades the beer. Palate is nice and mellow but slightly sticky. A drinkable pils, dry and bitter. I could have more than one.

On tap in Bochum. Hoppy aroma, bit malty, würzig. Clear, yellow coloured with a white, lasting head. Taste is bit sweet, grassy hoppy. Okay. But with the food I had very heavy on the stomach.

Bottled, flip top, 500ml, courtesy of Der Doppelbock (Sebastian). Pale gold with white head. This is a Pils with a little character, quite lemony and hoppy with also a sweetish cereal note. Soft with a vague hint of vanilla, toffee. Nice crisp finish. Reasonable.

A Mes rate:
Bottle from where, I remember not. Typically privat for me. Corn, cereal, cardboard, decnt hops and some German malt. Pleasant as the malt and hops are they don’t really hide the lack of character elsewhere. Bitter hop finish. Drinkable but nothing much more.

Bottle. A pale golden beer with a white head. Malty, straw aroma and a sweet malty, light herbal taste. Medium body with a light dry finish.

Bottle@Home. Light grainy aroma with herbal hops. Pale yellow color, white head, good lace. Light sweet, light malty, bitter, well hopped, more bitter in the finish. Full for a lager and a hop dry finish. Crisp and well flavored. Thanks to DerDoppelbock.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Really sour, later on the soft smell of bread and some sweetness. Orange-golden colour, frothy white head which is nearly diminishing. Bitter flavour, a little bit sour; average duration. Medium body, dry texture, soft carbonation. Not a really nice beer, one bottle a evening is enough for me.
