3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled, flip top, 500ml, courtesy of Der Doppelbock (Sebastian). Pale gold with white head. This is a Pils with a little character, quite lemony and hoppy with also a sweetish cereal note. Soft with a vague hint of vanilla, toffee. Nice crisp finish. Reasonable.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2006 From the tap: Quite pale with a firm, long lasting white head; stupendous aromatic clear hoppy nose - like walking in a hop-garden in late summer; light to medium body; the initial short sweet maltiness swings to a big explosion of hoppiness before a big dry, hoppy, long and longer lasting finish. Lacks a bit a fuller body, otherwise, all You Bitburgers and Warsteiners: this is an almost perfect Pils in the north-german style !
Re-rated 8/7/06: Draught, served in a stein: Superb aroma: fresh sweet hops with a lot of resin; strong bitter flavour, but a very smootrh mouthfeel as well. An extraordinary german Pilsener !

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear golden colour with foamy lasting, nice lacing white head. With its wonderful grassy full pack of aroma hops revealing nose with a smooth medium bodied malty start, followed by a very dry bitterhoppy longlasting aftertaste, this fine northern style Pilsener is heavy underrated. Very bitter on bottle, it is way better on tap, but almost nowhere to get but in my (new) hometown Bochum in the Ruhr area. Besides the many corporated mainstream brews, I´m quite proud of this lovely private brewery and its exceptional Pilsener beer !

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Feige’s Stammhaus, Bochum, 27/04/13.
Clear mid golden with a frothy white head that retains well.
Nose is pale malts, grass, light caramel, sugars.
Taste comprises light citrus, grass, caramel, mineral notes.
Medium bodied with fine carbonation.
Drinkable pils - a little on the boring side.

bottle, thanks to pivnizub! Golden yellow colour, large and persistent head. Hoppy nose. Full of hoppy flavours, very pleasant indeed, slightly malty. Full-bodied with lovely hoppy flavours. A fantastic Pils of the Northern German style.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line :
Grassy, herbal hops follow through from aroma to bitterness to spruce up this prickly German Pilsener’s lean honeyed pils malts.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A seductive head of foam tops the sparkling pale golden, not lacing much though.
-Even though this is a textbook German Pils, it does have more character than the average through the coherent expression of both malts and hops in the flavor profile.
-This is obviously well balanced.
-Light citrusy and earthy hop accents appear here and there.
-That hoppy finish is quite welcoming. I want more than a pint! Which is the point, right?
Bottle. Thx Günther!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear golden, no head. Bready nose with old hay underneath. Dryish with clean, chewy malt and growing late spicy hop bitterness.

A Mes rate:
Bottle from where, I remember not. Typically privat for me. Corn, cereal, cardboard, decnt hops and some German malt. Pleasant as the malt and hops are they don’t really hide the lack of character elsewhere. Bitter hop finish. Drinkable but nothing much more.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Pils mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, grasig. Geschmack herb, grasig, minimal würzig.
