pivnizub (3768), Porúří, Germany Apr 1, 2005 Updated: Dec 2, 2006 From the tap: Quite pale with a firm, long lasting white head; stupendous aromatic clear hoppy nose - like walking in a hop-garden in late summer; light to medium body; the initial short sweet maltiness swings to a big explosion of hoppiness before a big dry, hoppy, long and longer lasting finish. Lacks a bit a fuller body, otherwise, all You Bitburgers and Warsteiners: this is an almost perfect Pils in the north-german style !
Re-rated 8/7/06: Draught, served in a stein: Superb aroma: fresh sweet hops with a lot of resin; strong bitter flavour, but a very smootrh mouthfeel as well. An extraordinary german Pilsener !
gunnfryd (2716), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 2, 2008 Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, cooked vegetables. Flavour is fruit, malt, hop, cooked vegetables. Weird bitterness in the beer , but it´s still drinkable. . yngwie (3394), Kristiansand, Norway May 21, 2008 Bottle. An almost golden beer with a small, dense white head leaving some lacings. The aroma started with cooked vegetables. Then some apple and peach comes through, as well as a good dash of grains. It’s bready and malty in the mouth, with a nice bitterness. Good carbonation and medium fullness. Bready, fruity and pleasantly bitter finish. There’s something strange about this beer, maybe some butterscotch. I didn’t care too much for the aroma, but it’s quite drinkable, and don’t taste bad. (080521) Maria (3963), Thisted, Denmark Apr 6, 2008 Thanks Papsoe. Golden with a huge, nice and creamy head. the aroma has notes of hops, straw and malt. The flavour has a light malty sweetness, light straw and a good, slightly citrussy bitterness. MiP (4927), Flensburg, Germany Feb 26, 2008 Bottle, 4.9%. Nicely citric and malty aroma. Clear golden colour. Nice, stable white head. The flavour has OK malt and a distinct bitterness which gets rough. Quite clean and probably a good session beer once one gets used to its roughness. kappldav123 (948), Markkleeberg, Germany Feb 6, 2008 The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also, foam disappears very fast. Tastes modest sourish, somehow moldy. An average pilsener.
