TaxiDriver (474), Stadland, Germany Aug 3, 2008 Bottle. Strong smell of chocolate and a little bit of coffee, light sour. Average sized brown creamy head, normal long lasting, black body. Heavy bitter taste, average duration. Medium body, creamy and watery texture, lively carbonation. Nice one, reminds me a little bit of an Stout. jbrus (4095), Delft, Netherlands Jun 5, 2006 Bottled. Chocolate aroma. Opague black color, light brown head, good lace. Starts neutral but soon followed by sweet chocolate, licorice and light roasted bitterness. Soft and sandy finish. Thank you DerDoppelbock! pivo (2484), Germany Apr 14, 2006 Deep deep dark clear brown, fluffy beige head. Oaky tastes in the middle of a toasted malt body. Hint of chocolate, light tobacco end. A good example of the style overall. Yogi_Beera (2402), Hamburg, Germany Mar 27, 2006 Thank you very much Pivnizub!!! Pitchblack with a nice medium tan frothy head on top. Horse blanket, malt and grain taste. Medium long roasted malt taste - nice Schwarzbier! joss (3108), Garching b. München, Germany Mar 20, 2006 Bottle, courtesy of Pivnizub
Fresh, slightly singed bittering hop aroma.
Almost completely black, nice creamy and lacing tan head.
Hits first with a burned roasted cofee, balanced by herbal (juniper) notes and green hops. Relatively light body. Roasted cofee and grassy aftertaste.
Pretty much exactly like a Schwarzbier should be.
