Papsoe (25072) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 29, 2007
(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Very hazy orangey golden with a dense, white head. Very distinct aroma of banana and cloves. Medium-bodied with very fresh and sweetish banana accents - and a somewhat odd, underlying note of fruit drops. Again flavours of citrus and cloves. Quite nice. 230407

fiulijn (16659) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 27, 2007
Cloudy deep blond color; big head. Aroma of yeast and banana. Light mouthfeel, some wheat taste, some residual sweetness, light fruity touch (banana). The end is too short and weak.

Sample from bottle. Pours unfiltered orange with a good white head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, apple and wheat. Flavour is sweet to dry with bitter/sour note from the yeast. Has a buttery finish.

Bottle. Large fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Good lacing. Slightly cloudy body with an orange/yellow colour. Banana, apricot, fruity, citrus, wheat, yeast, coriander, clove. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Flavour was light sweet malt with some acidic. Nice sweet and fresh acidic finish.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2007 Bottle, thanks Pivnizub. Cloudy milky amber, off-white foam. Spicy clove, bubblegum, light minerally nose. Cloves up front, apples, orangeoil, bananas, minerally yeast. Medium chewy body. Vanilla yeast aftertaste - this weissbier really seems to want to cover all the flavors, nice.

Swing-top. Hazy light orange pour with a rocky white head. Banana and bubblegum nose, yeast and wheat. Crisp, spicy, sweet taste, bubblegum overtakes the banana to become the dominant taste, wheat a close second. Creamy, medium body, touch of citric acid. Interesting unknown fruitiness in the long-range aftertaste. Not the best example of style, but good nonetheless. Thanks to MoritzF!

Swing top bottle from Pivnizub. Orange blonde, cloudy. Mandarin in the aroma. Mandarin and yeast in the flavor. Some distant flowery hops? Or is it just esters? The emphasis is on fruit. Decent.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Hazy, deep golden coloured, big, fluffy, almost rocky head; seetish-sourish-fruity nose: cloves, bananas and caramel too; sweetish (fruity) flavour, soft MF; cloves again in the sweet-fruity finish, nearly no tartness, but a light acidity. Well done Weizen, a bit above the average
