Really no aroma. Looks bad. Flavor isn’t bad though. Crisp, light and tasty. Quite pils-like. Just a small hint of butter keeps it from being excellent.

Pours a golden hue with a medium white fluffy head and a bit of lace. The aroma has a really nice fresh hay character right up front but like so many other beers like this that fresh hay sort of fades into a cereal sweetness that sort of ruins the pleasantries the beer had initially given. There is a bit of saltiness in the aroma as well. The flavor has a nice minerally character and some grassiness as well. There is a bit of cereal sweetness in there as well but it’s not as dominant as it was in the aroma. Just a bit of the spiciness of the hops gets through as well.

Poured a very clear yellow with a white head. Very skunky aroma with pale malts and some light sweetness. Taste is skunky with some pale malts and rice. Flavor has some spices with an interesting finish. Not bad!

A: The pour is a light straw/yellow color with a short lived white head. S: Slightly buttery sweet grain aroma without much in the way of hops. Luckily, no sulfur or skunk, but still not all that enticing. T: A mildly sweet beer with notes of grain, corn, and perhaps a touch of malt. Slightly grassy, which you might be able to attribute to hops, but not in a positive way. M: The body is light with a typically fizzy carbonation. D: I suppose there are worse examples of the style, but this was not very enjoyable at all. Nothing that makes me want to come back to this beer.

Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy/frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is light to medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, husks), trace hops (herbs), with notes of soap and DMS. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly unclean, slightly husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Typical swill lager.

Bottle from Corti Bros. in Sacramento, CA. Pours pale gold with a foamy white head. Pale malt aroma. Maybe some herbal hop. Near medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is bready with some mild noble hop. Finishes lightly pale malt sweet. Followed by some bitter. There are worse. I’d say pale lager rather than pilsener.
