Has a dark brown color, translucent, with a very thin cord and a white head. The aroma is to sweet Candy, with notes of flowers. In the palate, there are sparkles of sugar of candy and something of sweet and sour fruits. It is a too agreeable beer, I cannot stop drinking it, whenever I can. Very good.

Clean brown, red tints. Excellent lacing, Brown head with sand aspect. Well disguised alcohol. Nuts and sugar cane aroma. Complex taste, aftertaste like oporto. To drink and enjoy slowly..

Lubiere (9765) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 10, 2006
Dark clear brown ale, translucent, with a thin lacing white head. Sweet caramel, like raw sugar, and vinous notes, with figs. Some nutty notes also develop later. In mouth, a pleasant candy sugar beacons your attentiom, with notes of maple, nuts, and brown sugar. Very nice and rich bodied. A good beer. Shared with Negrido and Panzerfaust. 1800P (happy hour) at Bluebird, Santiago.

Tap Dark brown colored, hazy with small bubbles. Big off-white head, mostly lasting with an excellent lacing and film. Sweet aroma of coffe, caramel, butterscotch, honey, plums smoothly alcoholic. Well-rounded flavor, strong, of coffe and butterscotch. The alcohol is initally not very noticeable, like any barley wine. Siroupy texture, like a liquor. Slightly bitter in the finish, light to medium body. Great!

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2006 On Tap: Wow, this is a pretty rare brew!.
Shows a deep brown color with redish tones and a medium beige, creamy and long lived head that leaves a huge and beautiful lacing and a thick film. Aroma is strong and sweet with notes of cane sugar, overripe peaches, prunes, molasses, caramel and a trace of leather. Great flavor, fully sweet with brown sugar and molasses leading other hints of old port wine and sweet grapes. It’s not cloying though. Smooth as hell, creamy texture...really delightful. Gentle mouthfeel, the finish is long and pleasant and most important, it’s not bothered with excesive carbonation. Fine aftertaste. This is a beer of quality.

A beutiful amber beer with a great head. It has a slightly fruity aroma. The flavor is sweet, spicy and slightly bitter - a really great flavor. I’ll definatly have this again.
