TAP. Malt, alcohol, hops, and fruity. Both sweet and bitter. The alcohol is discernable in this strong ale.

Copper in colour with off-white head. Aroma is hoppy. Taste is nicely balanced between hops, pine, and sweet malts. Better than I expected from this beer.

Bottle shared with northropfrye. Bitter at first and then turns sweet and rich, molasses and caramel in colour with a lively frothy head.

Scrapersnbeer (215) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 3, 2012
A copper ale, transparent except for odd spherical yeast clumps that settle to the bottom. Caramel malt aroma. Flavor starts sweet but quickly turns bitter and dry. Robust but not heavy. Decidedly British and toothy indeed.

A nice rich ale that while dry is not too bitter in style. Given how much I have moved away from English ales I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this beer.

A reddish, copper beer. Aroma is dominated by the strong bitterness, opened by hints of malty flavours, some vanishing notes of fruits. At nose it smells like hay, a little bit winy and woody . Nice, but too heavy to drink

6.5% deep amber colour with a thin head, slight floral aroma, hop and malt taste, not as good as Old Speckled Hen.
