Toasted malts with tea-like woodsy–herbal hops. Notes of sweet apple cider, dry-grain biscuits, and citrus zest. Didn’t get the metallic that I got from Old Speckled Hen. Would like to revisit this beer. sirPino (855), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland

Bottle white, 500 ml
Appearance: Smooth, foamy head which is not quite regular, not long lasting, leave some lacing but not that but good like Grimbergen, carbonation is rather weak, body is medium to full, colour is nice, deep amber, body is not much transparent, looking a bit hazy, the colour is of nice, strong tea.
Aroma: A little bit metallic, because of carbonation and lowel of yeast, though there are some of low quality, very malty, malted barley base, almost pilsener like but the level of hops is only almost unnoticable, aroma of wallnuts and citrusy.
Flavour: Hints of fruit, nice hoppy bitterness initially, essential, the palate is simple, refreshing, hoppy bitterness, some hints of dark chockolate, malty base, very good beer for dine, medium English Ale of good quality for a hot day.
Palate: Tangy, well drinkable, very dry, slightly accidic, interesting bitterness, can be good quality apperitiff. Good for a hot day and when you want to dine together with it. Serve well chilled, as the very drinking is more plesurable and refreshing than assessing or rating. The alcohol is very well built in.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 3, 2008 Clear coppery red color. Thin white head vanishes quickly. Aroma is somewhat refreshing: metallic, toffee malty and grassy hoppy. Grassy hoppy, slightly bitter flavor is toffy and caramel malty. Aftertaste is dry and bitter, slightly rosted. Medium-bodied, a bit foamy and tingly carbonated palate. mikkopen (259), Oulu, Finland
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 3, 2008 500 ml bottle. Colour coppery red-orange with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Fresh, slightly fruity aroma with grassy hops. Flavour is sweet and malty with a little caramel, and a dry bitter hoppy finish. Too sharp carbonation for my taste. esox (263), Oulu, Finland
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 2, 2008 500 ml bottle. Medium white head. Copper to amber liquid is a bit cloudy. Fresh and grassy hops in aroma. Some caramel and maybe nuts in the finish, but maltiness is quite light all the way. Palate is medium bitter and too much carbonated. Straightforward change from dry bitterness to more sweet finis. Not very interesting bitter. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA

Good balance of hops and malt. Yeast in the bottom from a million years ago. It really did taste like a "real" ale. Good brew. Slightly hazy copper colour with a moderate off-white head that left rings of lace down the glass. Red fruit and caramel aroma with a touch of spice. Flavour was slightly sweet with some doughy malt, grassy hops and a short, bitter finish. Alcohol was fairly well-hidden. Ok.
