slimchill (773), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 16, 2007 Bottle. Nose is sweet malts, a touch of caramel and apple. Bright red to brown with a patchy head. Mostly yeast background with lots of spice. Peppery with a sharp biting palate. A nice beer, but lacking in overall impressiveness. doublebock (196), USA Jul 15, 2007 Amber color, thick white head. Not much aroma to apeak of. Mild amber malty taste with an acrid bitterness. Not really amy distinctive taste. orville (160), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA Jul 10, 2007 I don’t know about the rest of you but I liked this one. Great aroma. Great look. Flavor is smooth with a cinnamon finish, and yes it is a bit metallic, but certainly drinkable. Scary clear Bottle!!!! VeloVampire (483), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 1, 2007 Updated: Jul 7, 2007500 ml bottle - pours tawny with a huuuuuuge rocky creamy off-white head. Took me about 5 minutes to get this all into the glass, as every time I poured (carefully), the head just piled up. Aroma of brown sugar, vanilla, prune, alcohol and a slightly leathery quality. Almost has a rum-like aroma. More of the same in the flavour, with a slight bitterness at the back of the palate. Strange metallic quality as well. A bit over-carbonated, and artificially sweet. Good product, but probably not one I’d buy often. radiomgb (1921), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jun 24, 2007 Rich copper in colour, large very long lasting off-white coloured head, some lacing. The aroma is of fruit, lemon citrus, pepper, yeasty, some caramel, light sourness. The flavour is of lemon citrus, some brett like qualities, apples, musty, yeasty, some floral hops. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, high carbonation. Finishes citrusy, bitter, lingering and rather gassy. This can’t be what the brewer intended but I like it non the less.
500ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario for $3.45.

aobecksy (661), Middle of no where, Ohio, USA Jun 20, 2007 Sweeter than I expected with a disapoointing bitter finish. Too thick on the tongue. Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden Jun 18, 2007 Bottle. Dark amber colour with a small off-white head. Hoppy and slightly metallic aroma. Rather mild fruity flavour with a sourish metallic note. Miksu (2187), Jyväskylä, Finland Jun 17, 2007 0.5 l bottle. Amber color with peige diminishing head. Caramelly aroma with fruity and resiny english hops, surprisingly weak considering the alcohol content. Sweetish, caramelly and bisquity flavor with tart fruitiness. Fruity-bitter finish with notes of minerals.
Nice fruitiness but also some disturbing dull and astringent elements. Lively on opening with chunky and loose yeast sediment.
