This beer reminded me a lot of Duvet, except that it was more like Duvet’s younger, retarded brother. Thick white lacing head. Smells of sweet fruit and strong alcohol. Intense metallic taste to complement the fruity alcoholic taste. Not very drinkable.

Bottle Beautiful copper pour with almost no head. Light caramel malt aroma and a pretty bad flavor. Smooth, but aftertaste is horrid. Very disappointed. Almost drain pour, but trying to hold on.

Clear bottle, 500 ml, best before 15 9 07, savoured on March 27 2007; eye: copper with reddish reflections, voluminous beige head that falls quite rapidly, really good effervescence, clear; nose: caramel, pepper, Belgian yeast, citrusy, spices, slight perception of alcohol, grassy hops; mouth: in that order, lightly astringent, acridness, alcohol, spices, pepper, light caramel, hops, meltallic finale but even more so acrid, medium body, a bit thin, grainy texture, a bit syrupy, mildly bitter, lightly sweet, good carbonatation; overall: it started well...

Has a lot of head, decent body and smells of caramel malts. Has a distinct ethanol flavour, with some malt and fruity (pear, apple) notes, plus grassy hops and strong, almost Belgian yeasts. The problem is the intense metallic aftertaste overshadows everything else, a major and unmistakable flaw. In sum, not worth drinking.

Fermented skunk cabbage. Lingering notes of furniture polish and fake lemonade. An ephemeral note of stale malt vinegar. Quite possibly the worst beer I’ve had since I swore off domestic lagers. (Of the "1 pint, 0.9 ozs," 1 pint went down the drain.)

Bottle. Clear amber, medium off-white head. Caramelly malts in the aroma with apricot, and some herbal hops. Medium bodied. Some malt sweetness and also a clear touch of alcohol in the flavour, nicely balanced by a firm bitterness. A bit uncomplex brew for its 6.5 abv.
