opened like a dream but poured very lively with a real big white fluffy head, 500ml bottle with lots of sediment at the bottom, copper colour, strong hop aroma which leads into a dominant citrus fruit in the mouth, some far back caramel sweetness which leads onto a dry finish

Clear Bottle 500 ml from LCBO
As noted in previous reviews this beer should be poured very gently as it does have tendencies to develop fast flowing creation. With time that will recede to half inch thick bubbly top with copper, light brown hazy bottom. Visible sediment at the bottom of glass.’
Initial aroma reminded me of many lagers that are sold either in clear or green glass. Secondly mineral notes, thirdly sweet honey like malts.
Slightly sour short front (bottle conditioning in effect?), rich fruity plum like middle. Softer at end with gentle green like reminder of used hops. Fairly unique bouquet as advertised by Brewmasters but that does mean its excellence. I must say tough late warming vine like alcohol was pleasant surprise nicely rounding up until now somewhat incoherent formula .If treated presto this ale could be easily misunderstood as another failed attempt. Drink slowly and you will enjoy it.

Bottle. Warning: Be careful opening this mother! I should give this fuggin’ beer 0.5 just for shooting out all over the damn place -- and that’s just from opening it, I didn’t even try to pour it yet! Godamn ridiculous! Now I have to let it sit for a while...We’re back, a while later, I’ll try not to let the beer’s prior "actions" taint my review (grumble, grumble). Pours a hazy orange-amber with lots of black floaties and a huge lasting foamy off-white head. Aroma is bready with some light sourness, fruit, spices and herbal hops -- maybe a little skunky? Damn clear bottles. Flavour of sweet malt, yeast, a little lactic, some lightly tart fruit and spices and a light bitter, dry finish. Alcohol for the most part is well hidden. Medium bodied, quite carbonated. Wow, I thought this would be much better, it’s not bad but it’s not very good either.

Bottle - 500ml. Amber body with heavy carbonation and a thick beige bubbly/frothy head. Fair hoppy/malty aroma that lacks complexity. It carries some CO2 hints. Fortunately, its sharp hoppy taste is better, although it could be a bit more complex. It carries oaky notes and ends with a good bitter finish. This is a fairly drinkable Ale, although it is not that much impressive.

Drank in a stem glass. Dark orange poor with a THICK sticky browing tanned head. You can also see alot of the yeast sediments at the bottom. Aromas are very hoppy, herbal, somewhat spicy, floral, slightly caramel. To the palate, it is somewhat unbalanced, the sournes is not expected... very long with an awkward bitter dry aftertaste. Flavors are enigmatic... which is sometimes good... very natural tasting beer... malty, hoppy... barely no sweetness to it... apparently this is a good beer to age... i’m starting to wonder if i realy want to buy more to age it!?!?!.... Did i get a good batch?

Very fragrant of hops and fruitiness. A deep amber with a good head. Smooth and not too carbonated. A dry hoppy flavour mixed with some fruit and a real nice quencher. The real deal as far as I’m concerned and I have stocked up on this beauty. RE-RATING - This ale got a 3.9 from me based on the first 2 bottle I tried. After restocking, I have now had 3 consecutive bottles basically explode like a volcano upon opening. Obviously off - I even tasted one of them - foul semlling, unstoppable carbonation, completely undrinkable and makes a huge mess. A tribute to the fine folks at Ontario’s beer monopoly that they would not properly store a beer they then charged $3.50 a bottle for. So, my new rating is based on the fact that most of the bottles I’ve opened were undrinkable.

Bottled. Amber coloured with lively head and a lot of sediment. Fruity grassy nose. Sweet, ligtly syrupy malt mixes with fruity alcohol and drying salty, grassy hops. Some cookie malt flavour. The body is a bit light, ane leaves a lot of room for alcohol to shine through. Dry, grassy, salty, bitter finish.

Fruit (citrus, pear and apple) and hops nose. Wonderful three finger head (in a trappist glass no less!) on this beer, lots of yeast sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Orange/Copper color with much effervescence. Flavor is a continuation of the aroma with a complex, robust character and rounded finish. Palate is surprisingly mild for a 6.5% alc./vol. beverage. Overall, this beer shares many points in common with some fine belgians, Strap a Chimay White label on a bottle of this stuff and I probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
