Tjis one doesn’t pour, it gushes. 4 bottles of pure gush, and I mean about half the bottle if left when it decides to settle. Some sediment is left, but what I imagine a 4/5 for aopp. is now a 3. The aroma is yeasty and horse blanket/barnyard in a way that I would expect mouldy cheese to be. Sour lactic milk. Underneath this mask is a touch of caramilzed malts and some sbubtle hops, but this one is a disaster. Milk gone bad is the main contender in the mouth, some off sweet malts, burnt brown sugar and some stale bitter hops. This one is as light struck as an open feild. or the yeast has a mind of its own. Way too light body for the style. Poor.

Bottle (500ml - clear). This one was very eager to get out of the bottle - poured very bubbly bright and clear bronze with a huge foamy lasting head and a big flock of black floaties in the bottom. Initially bready yeast aroma, then pungent grassy/herbal and slightly skunky hops, with tart fruit and peppery yeast. Taste is peppery and lemony, dry, slightly sweet finish. Light body, very lively and pungent, only moderate alcohol - I think it was slightly skunked, but only a little - stick it in a brown bottle and you might have a nice funky-yeasty light bottled beer.

2 May 2006 - Fruit, barnyard (yoghurt), steel hop aroma (a bit different). Hazy brown-red colour, reasonable head and good thick suds lacing. Light fruit and big steely taste, remininscent of an Orval. Hop steely, dry lingering light aftertaste. this style is not my mug of beer.

Pours a deep copper/amber color with a bubbly white head. Looks fairly clear. Smells of citrus and lots of herb, and tastes of herbs mostly. It has a bitter herb taste. I’m not a huge fan, but it’s decent.

Bottle (clear, why??), LCBO. Gushed out of the bottle, pours a deep copper, big orange/white bubbly head. Lots of floating sediment. Aroma - wow, big citrus hops, neat malt character. Taste - very orange citrus up front, lots of malt, long bitter linger - this is very nice! Reminded me of the Burton Empire Ale a little bit, but not as strong. Only complaint is that it is too carbonated - mouthfeel is way too foamy and bubbly. Otherwise, great pint - glad I got one before the light got to it!

Ok, pretend this is a blind taste. Looks like an IPA, grapefruity with bubbles, lots of foam in pour (the ackward way I pour on purpose). Funky smell, a wild ale...then taste, a hoppy bitter ale, malting, and then sourish. You like sour people, right, you Cantillon it. A different British.

Fresh caramel aroma. copper in colour with a thin disappearing head. Caramel syrup taste with a citrus finish. High carbonation. Tangy finish.
