Bottle. Boozy. Love Old Speckled Hen. hoped to love this. Just too boozy for my liking. Other flavors are present but minimal in overall impact. Not really worth going out of your way for.

Bottle conditioned. 500 ml clear bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Beautiful amber colour, huge and fluffy head lasts "forever". Lovely hoppy aroma, also notes of red wine vinegar, oak and barnyard. Interesting flavour with a substantial hoppy bitterness, oaky and vinous notes. Relatively dry. Notes of balsamic vinegar too, but the beer is neither sour nor sweet (does that make sense?). A very good beer in my book.

Extremely strong taste of dark fruit and hops, yet a sweet caramel taste. Would deffinately consider buying this beer again.

Bottle from BevMo La Mesa. Pours a nice copper with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Slightly sweet caramel malt aroma with some Englsh hops and a bit of dark fruit. Strong carbonation. Citric hop bitterness. Carbonation kind of brings this beer down a bit. Finish is very bitter, like grapefruit peels.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 6 Oct) Amber colour with frothy beige head. Fruity nose with earthy hops (lots of Goldings character) and dark citrussy notes (blood oranges). Fruity taste with dried fruit and nice notes of earthy hops. Rather sweet, but the lovely hop character makes it a nice one.

Bottle. Yeasty bread and spice notes in the aroma. Held to light an fire orange body with decent head. Lot of carbination bubbles. Spicey malt blend dominated the flavor with some high conentrated carbination. Had a carbination belch thing going entire beer which isn’t a good thing because usually to much belch and you know what’s next.

[Bottle from ASDA] amber colour, moderate, dense head. Aroma of caramel, buttery toffee, fruity, some floral notes. Medium-full body, some sweetness with a bitter finish.

Beautiful looking beer. Dark amber, with fluffy head. I am a big english ale fan, but htis just didn’t live up to the hype. Nearly no scent. Seems like the carbonation was added. Nice crisp bite, but just not the smooth strong ale I was looking for.
