On occasion I get one that’s downright offensive, but this is one of the finest ales I know otherwise. CQC (224), Sydney, Australia

Need more now. Have to stop rating. Tis the best thin gto come out of a Sulfulk brewery thats for sure. Rune (2787), Tromsø, Norway

The bar was Chalaraa and the beers were not in the menu. I found them when I asked for a look in the refrigerator. I picked the bottle conditioned Hen’s Tooth (BB. 28.02.07) and came back for another one the next day. Light mahogany in colour, beige foam with lots of bubbles. Hoppy aroma. Sweet taste of dark caramel. Lasting malty and bitter finish (31.05.2006). DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 1, 2006 (500 ml bottle: $3.39 at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, CA) I have to wonder about this beer. It’s in a clear bottle, but I’ve kept it refrigerated and on the bottom shelf, so heat and interaction with light haven’t been a factor. Nevertheless, I expected a more enjoyable beer. It’s moderately sweet and very fruity, and not the good kind of fruity either, it’s more like apple skins. More of the same fruity apple skins in the nose. I don’t know, it’s exhibiting too much apples not to be a flaw. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Somewhat cloudy, so the beer’s color can be described as glowing amber. The off-white head only builds to maybe half an inch, but takes forever to settle to a thin layer, never becoming filmy. Probably wouldn’t hurt to retry this again in the future if I see it again. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Hazy, bright medium caramel color with a large, frothy off-white, slowly but mostly diminishing head.
The aroma was malty with light notes of toasted grain and caramel; hoppy with a light note of herbal resin; Yeasty with a light note of attic; Light miscellanous note of green apple.

The flavor was moderately sweet, moderately acidic and lightly bitter with an average-length, lightly-to-moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter finish.

The body was medium, the texture was watery-creamy and the carbonation was lively. hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden

But in this strong ale, which is rare and overpriced in Oz I LIKE WHAT I SEE. It has an excellent aroma, dominated by the floral english hops and the taste is well ballanced between the hops and malt, I can detect, and a search on the web confirms traces of melanoidin (aromatic) malts. A Lovely ale from the mother country, one I could drink all night any night (if my income could support it)
