Somewhat sour, hoppy aroma, but not altogether unpleasant. Taste has a slightly metallic edge to it, with plenty of bitterness and a sweet, malty undertone with some nuttiness. Different, but not great. As far as English strong ales go, I’d stick with Fuller’s 1845. BeerGestapo (738), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma is skunky, grassy, and strong. The taste is kinda dry, with a nutty / citrus flavor, the finish is slightly bitter. This is very similar to the other Morland products, but drinkable. afireinside96 (826), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 8, 2008 500ml clear glass bottle served in an English Pint glass. Pours a nice deep amber with one finger of off-white head. After reading a few other’s reviews I was hoping for the best from the smell, but alas my bottle is skunk piss city. There is an underlying nuttiness to it, but it is really buried in skunk. Tastes of toffee and nuts, not as sweet as I thought it would be. Finishes nutty and metallic. Not impressed. elcig (19), Oliver Springs, Tennessee, USA

Ligth fruity nose with a mild brett-ish dryness. Dry malt flavour with again a light brett note providing this distinct wooden flavour to the beer. Dry malt flavour and leading into a rather dry and not so hoppy finish. Nice one despite it may have been un-intentionally with brett-like bacteria.
