Well-balanced nose with sweet country caramel malt underpinned by a deep bitter hoppy twang. Pours a deep, burnished amber with a medium beige head. Flavour follows the nose with sweet notes, spicy asides, and a dry and bitter underpinning that finishes long and moreish. A fine ale with a fine pedigree.

Tasting tray at a beer festival in Dublin. Bright copper colored liquid topped by an thick rocky beige head. Lovely toasted biscuit malt nose reminiscent of toffee. Sweet butterscotch malt flavor with a silky mouthfeel upfront. Realy nice! I recommend it.

500ml bottle from local Yamaya. Sweet caramel, whiskeyish, and dark fruity nose. Reddish-brown, dark tea color with rocky beige head. Sweet fruit candy, cough drop initial flavor; mid palate is balanced with a nice tang to it; final leaves a layer of spice and some alcohol warmth. Medium body, good mouthfeel. Very tasty stuff.

500mL bottle. Poured clear, medium orange with a tall, dense, creamy beige head.. looked very good in the glass. The aroma picked up toasted grains and biscuity malts with soft oak, blended, lighter-skinned fruits, and faint nutty accents.. came across very "English", and well-constructed. The flavor found toasted bready and fruity malts at the core, with grainy fruits, toasted oak, and a kiss of honey around.. finished with more of the honey and fruits along with grainy residual sugars. Medium-bodied at most on the palate, with moderate, rolling carbonation.. creamy across the middle, and nicely tangy right at the finish.. good feel to it.. nice brew.

Poured from 12 oz. clear bottle. Clear, orange-walnut brown with a large pale tan head that does dot linger long and excellent lacing. Aroma of bread, pear, grapes and caramel. Taste of caramel, medicine, honey, toffee, molasses, dark fruit and sour cherry. Full/medium body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
