Nice toffee sweetness, more complex than OSH but not as much as most would come to expect from any barrel aged offerings. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dec 2012 - An old man in Tesco old me that I should buy this. Made with aged beer and Old Speckled Hen. Quite mild with a spicy sweetness. Malty and a little sharp, bready. It’s OK.

Bottle at home in London with Chris. Pours crystal clear, deep gold with a small, creamy off-white cap. Sweet, bready malts in the nose, some ripe berries. Medium sweet flavor, sugary-bready malts, some plums, dates, other ripe fruits. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Creamy. Sweet, lightly dry bread to finish, some mild leafy bitterness, ripe fruits, berries. Decent.

12oz bottle - pours amber with small beige head. Nose is creamy caramel, brown candy, bready and herbal. flavor adds brown sugar. fairly bitter with underlying sweetness. alcohol bite for a 6.5% beer - really?!? Compliments my saucisson sec quite well, not really. A bitterer than usual English Ale. weird aftertaste.

Poured from a bottle. Clear dark amber color, minimal head but ample lacing. Very little carbonation. Deep oak cask aroma. Full malt flavor, smooth start and finish. Similar to Innis and Gunn if you like that. Slightly heavier. Average drinkability, somewhat filling

Quite nice. Not as full of flavour as I expected, but a lovely rounded medium body. Some vanilla oak. A hint of Christmas pudding. Finishes clean and smooth.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2013 Bottle @ home poured clear golden brown with a white head. Medium bitterness with low to average carbonation and full bodied mouth-feel. Malt and vanilla in taste with caramel overtones. I had it in the fridge before opening and it was way better after sitting for a while to warm up and open up red wine-style

Tea brown with a tall, frothy, beige head. Aroma is slightly light-struck skunk, toffee... Flavour is toffee/vanilla..definite wood notes from blending. Very smooth, creamy malt. Really nice bittering. Great stuff.

Clear copper. Butterscotch/carmel/toffee aroma with some dusty-mineral maybe slight herbal but skunky aroma. Taste is same as aroma but with some dry vannilla oak/light bourbon? notes. Fairly sweet, but has some mild hop and danky-skunk bittering to back it .Some candy/cotton candy/skunk grass.Pretty good really.

English extremamente potente. Carregada no malte. Lançaria um novo estilo para classificar essa strong English Ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
