3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sickly sweet, deep amber ale with a fine white head. Heavy & thick with dark fruit overtones, molasses, prunes & dates. Well balanced hop bite with toffee & vanilla, phenolic, a bit cloying but drinkable, slowly.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Picked up in Tesco, 4 for £6 offer. I picked it up and then a bloke jumped in and swiped the remaining bottles, saying, ’bloody love this stuff, knocks your bloody head off’. He followed this up by tapping the Tetley or Banks (can’t say I was overly focused) label that said £1, and said, ’this is the best bloody bargain of all but they never bloody have any’. He then scurried off on his bloody way. Drinkable if not overly exciting, head remaining very much on my shoulders. On my neck. As in not knocked off.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
The aroma is malty with grassy hops and slightly fruity yeast. There is also a touch of butter. The appearance is amber with a small head. The taste is like the aroma with a bitter finish. The palate is average. Overall a very decent beer but not as good as I was hoping for. Pretty standard stuff.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A lovely winter ale. The colour is a beautiful redish-amber which is, unfortunately, packaged in clear glass. A delicious caramel taste leads to a rich spice finish with very, very subtle notes of vanilla. Absolutely delicious!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
50cl bottle. Clear red / orange color. Good thin khaki / light grayish head. Some decent lace. Nice malty earthy hop aroma. Good raisin, kind of darker fruit aroma. Malts are balanced by the respectable amount of hop, here. Nice light bitterness. Smooth, light carbonation. Medium / bigger body, good more dry texture goes down easy. Really nice depth of flavor. Definitely exceeded my expectations. My favorite Morland brew yet, easily. Would get again / recommend.
