Clear gold colour with an off white head. Aroma of hops, citrus and some floral notes, a flavour to match with a little caramel malt and light bitter finish.

Has a fine pale character in a clear golden ale. Lots of tropical aroma and taste to match.

Nice smooth English ale. Malty aroma, nice amber color and no head to speak of. Taste of toffee and caramel and easy to drink. One of Morland’s best.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 maekchu (1086) - Hirakata, JAPAN - OCT 28, 2012
500 ml. bottle from local Yamaya. Strong hop aroma (Galaxy), with light fruit (apple and maybe pear). Clear golden yellow, very little head. Thick hoppy initial; balanced out some in mid palate; a coat of bitterness in the finish. Thin body, very light carbonation. Very pleasant aroma. The bittering seems a bit much for this light style. I don’t at all get any of the "tropical fruit" flavors touted on the label.

New Beer Distributors, NY 12oz? ($2): Pours a light amber color (the picture is lighter than it is in reality) with a white head. Aroma is somewhat skunked, even though this is definitely the first week on the shelves. After you get through the skunk, there is lemon and malt. Taste is much the same. It be slightly sweet malt and lemon. Slightly bitter. Not bad, but hardly worth remembering. Why do I buy these beers I ask myself...
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 rangerred (660) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - OCT 11, 2012
clear 12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear dark gold with a one finger white head. The head fades rather quickly but leave ok lacing.
Really no skunk in the aroma which surprised me a little with the clear bottles.
Caramel and toast on the nose with a little bit of corn. Fruity hops that definitely take on a tropical tone. The galaxy hops really show themselves.
The flavor on this is really great. Tropical fruit right from the get-go but there is a wonderful malty backbone. Toast and caramel underneath with some pale malt. A little bit of pipe tobacco too. Bitterness is moderate with the passion fruit lingering throughout. Mouthfeel is light but makes the beer extremely drinkable.
Overall, a wonderful, flavorful session beer that I could drink all day. If I could pick this up locally and it was cheaper it would be a go to beer for me. US breweries really need to take a closer look at this style.

Bottle at Tampa Palms World of Beer. Clear golden yellow color with a white blanket of a head. Some lingering lace along the side of the glass. Semi sweet aroma with an emphasis on English malt and toffee notes. Flavor is mild but flavourful with just a touch of bitterness in the finish.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 PorterPounder (4610) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 5, 2012
Tallahassee, Fl - Market Square Liquors - 12 oz bottle. Dark golden leading to copper pour with a tight white head that diminishes pretty quickly. Aroma has a hint of vanilla and butterscotch. Flavor has a nice subtle bitterness to it with some vanilla hints, a bit of nuttiness, some buttery notes and just a hint of spearmint in the back end. Mouthfeel is crisp. Good session starter.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 DrSilverworm (2703) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 3, 2012
12oz bottle. Clear golden / orange color. Good thin off-white head, leaves decent lace. Impressive hoppy aroma - lemongrass, some citrus, light floral. Good light caramel malt, some honey, little toastiness. Good mix of bitter and sweetness in the finish. Light body, smooth light carbonation, very drinkable. More dry texture. This is a very tasty light ale - especially now since it just hit the shelves. This probably wouldn’t age well, especially with these clear glass bottles
