bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear dark amber with an ivory head cover, bands of lace. Taste is malt that adds molasses in the palate, then turns to a lightly bittered finish. The semi-sweet takes this away from Golden Ales, but it is refreshing on an autumn evening.

500 ml clear bottle. Clear brighter orange copper, off-white foam fades fast. Bready malty fruity smell, some skunk. Taste is slightly sweet toasted pale malt with a fruity hoppy tropical tang, somewhat lifeless and oily. Softer carbonation, medium bodied, moderately hopped. A better British blond. 500ml bottle. Pours golden amber with a decent white head that lingers. Citrus, malt and tropical fruit aromas. Bitter and hoppy finish. OK beer but nothing special.

Pours clear medium gold with two fingers of white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, no lacing. (3/5) Nose is citrus, fruit, grassy hops, pale malt. (6/10) Taste is balanced moderate sweet and bitter. (6/10) Light watery body, low sustained carbonation, short bitter finish. (3/5) A decent enough English bitter, if tending to the boring side of the style - which, let’s face it, is already pretty boring. At 4.1% ABV, it’s obviously a session ale, and the light body and low carbonation accentuate that. Definitely in the “inoffensive thirst quencher” category, and very similar to a plain old lager. And what’s up with the clear bottles, anyway? There’s no chance mine’ll be light-struck, since my cellar is completely dark, but not everybody is as spoiled as I am. Sure, it shows off the colour of the beer to maximum advantage, but that’s a poor tradeoff for some punter thinking your beer tastes like skunk if the bottles get mishandled at all, innit? (12/20)

Aroma is pale malts, fruit and a hint of hops. The flavor is fruit, pale malts, slight off-flavors probably from the clear bottle and hops/citrus/light tropical fruit in the finish.

Bottle 0,5 l, ASDA, Bournemouth, England, UK. Złote piwo o obfitej i puszystej pianie oraz intensywnym, cytrusowym aromacie. W smaku cytrusowe z posmakiem egzotycznych owoców oraz chmielową goryczką na finiszu.

I am not a huge fun of Morland produced beer but this beer is an exception. An amber colour beer with strong hop aroma. Nice tidy finish.

A golden amber coloured beer with a frothy white head. A pithy citrus fruit aroma with a background maltiness. Dry mouthfeel. A bitter hop taste to start, there is a hint of tropical fruit along with a citrus fruit flavour. There is a slightly sweeter caramel malt flavour that balances the hoppiness into a lingering finish

Good quaffer. nice golden colour (surprise surprise). Bicuity and floral on the palate and nose. Nice one and I could sink a few at that strength.
