Bottle at home with Lyoli. Pours clear, rich gold with a soft, white foam head. Has that lovely pasteurized, doughy and buttery malt aroma. Light to medium sweet flavor with crisp bread, wet straw and hay, some crackers. Light bodied with fine, tingly carbonation. Crisp finish with light, toasted straw bitterness, doughy bread, faint grass and hay. Very easy drinking beer. I have no real problem with this guy.

Bottle from Sainsbury drunk at home. Clear gold lasting thin white head. Citrusy aroma. Tangerine and lime, but a thin metallic version. It’s not horrible, a bit like the GK IPA Gold, but slightly better. The fruit is fruitier and there’s less metallic emptiness. Even some bitterness on the finish and a touch of pear/peach fruit salad fruit. It’s ok, even quite pleasant. To an extent. More bitter on the finish than I expected and fruiter.

Bottle. A clear one, dark golden in color and with a dense, finger-thick off-white head leavings some lacings. Almost buttery biscuity nose with a decent touch of peppery, grassy hops. Not bad, but sure not very interesting, and I think it lacks a bit on the hops. The flavor has a little bitterness towards the end, with a touch of grass. Biscuity, caramel maltyness. Medium body, quite dry. A decent one, but it’s rather uninteresting. 120516
