Crafted by the master brewer of "Old Speckled Hen", this light golden beer, delivers both flavour and refreshment. Brewed using the finest pale malts, and the rare Galaxy hop to give a light golden colour, subtle tropical fruit notes and a deliciously smooth finish.

Cask at The Victoria Lounge, Hanley. A clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon, grapefruit, some orange and sugar. Taste is similar of fruity malt, lemon, grapefruit, some orange, caramel and some sugar. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A soft, citrus hop bitterness in the finish. This is not a bad golden ale from Greene King. Citrusy and well balanced but maybe a little sweet.

Taste of light caramel, soft GK yeast, slightly estery, soft fruits, a tad sugary
Palate - Medium light body, rather sweet. Finish of sweet light caramel, light bitter
Overall - Not great, seemed a bit sugary, not much going on.

Cervesa amb bona aparènça, en boca destauen les maltes amb un lleuger toc a llúpol. Cerveza con buena apariencia, en boca destacan las maltas con un ligero toque a lúpulo.

5th May 2015: cask half-pint in a Royal Oak, somewhere in London. Preferred the bottled version if my writing up of that is anything to go by. This was not in very good condition, not the breweries fault I suppose. Golden as the name suggests, white head. Boring blend with not much going on in the nose or flavour. Mild floral hop notes in the aroma and some light maltiness in the taste otherwise nothing.

On tap at The Railway, Buxton. Crystal clear golden beer with solid white head. Bitter mouthfeel, easy drinking. Finish is slightly fruity hops. Nice to drink in the sun, like today.

Cask / Lost Hour / Greenwich / £3.90. Pours a hazy golden colour with a good head that dissipates. Nice galaxy hop aroma. Refreshing with sweet tropical fruit flavours. Smooth & moreish. A surprisingly good beer

Cask sampled at ACAT 2015. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber wroth bubbly white head. Aroma of bready biscuit malt over a hint of tropical fruit hoppiness. Taste is more hop forward than the nose, but nice balance still. Hop forward english golden ale, like it quite a lot.
