Crafted by the master brewer of "Old Speckled Hen", this light golden beer, delivers both flavour and refreshment. Brewed using the finest pale malts, and the rare Galaxy hop to give a light golden colour, subtle tropical fruit notes and a deliciously smooth finish.

Cask at the College Arms Bloomsbury. Post exam drinks, so short review. Amber orange, still, slight haze, small white head. Aroma is all cat urine and lemon Galaxy hop. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is hoppy straw, lemon, grapefruit, slightly bitter, light astringency. I was quite impressed with this one - even had a touch of Kernel about it. Other people’s ratings are much lower, so I wonder whether condition is a major factor here...

Cask. Standard hazy gold pour with minimal head. Slight grassy/hop nose. Touch of bitterness. Fairly smooth and drinkable. Not all that much to report really. Simply blonde ale that doesn’t stand out, nor necessarily disappoint.

Cask @ George II, Luton. Mid to dark gold, clear, with foamy head and a fair bit of lacing. Simple yet confusing aroma of citrus, caramel and toffee. Bittersweet taste with that telltale diacetyl buttery overtone. Bitter, slightly acrid finish. This doesn’t do anything for me; maybe it’s more palatable in slightly better condition but I fear it’s just not a great ale.
