Quite a sweet bitter, lots of malt prevalent, slightly cloying. Not bad but not one I’d look out for.

Sampled @ GBBF day 3. Clear golden color, small white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, nicely hoppy, lightly fruity, slightly piney hops, lightly bitter. Average body and carbonation.

On tap at the Fountain Inn in Cowes. Mild and smooth with some malt, hops and lemons. Creamy mouthfeel with a touch if spice and citrus fruits. Drinkable, calming piwo with a mild aftertaste. Fine one.

On cask at The Fountain Inn in Cowes. Pours out in a clear light golden colour with low head and flat body. Aroma of straw and mild hops. Taste of hops, citrus fruits, straw, graass, grains and basement aromas. Boring and dusty finish. Average beer.

Cask. Standard hazy gold pour with minimal head. Slight grassy/hop nose. Touch of bitterness. Fairly smooth and drinkable. Not all that much to report really. Simply blonde ale that doesn’t stand out, nor necessarily disappoint.

Cask @ George II, Luton. Mid to dark gold, clear, with foamy head and a fair bit of lacing. Simple yet confusing aroma of citrus, caramel and toffee. Bittersweet taste with that telltale diacetyl buttery overtone. Bitter, slightly acrid finish. This doesn’t do anything for me; maybe it’s more palatable in slightly better condition but I fear it’s just not a great ale.

Grapefruit aroma. Just a thin head. Lighter than the IPA. Fruity tasting leaving a lingering taste in the tongue. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Belle couleur presque rousse. Note de fruits tropicaux, sucre candi mais bien équilibrés. Un must !

Golden in colour without much aroma, this is nonetheless quite a pleasant beer. The hop rate is comparatively low which allows the malt to dominate and the faintly honeyish flavour to come to the fore. One of Greene King’s better beers.

Cask @ White Swan, Hebden Bridge. Golden with head. Lovely light tropical fruit aroma with a more malted bitterness in its flavour.

Cask at the Belle Vue, High Wycombe. Deep gold with a small white head. Citrus and floral flavours. Pleasantly hoppy and refreshing. A pleasant surprise from GK for once.
