Brown, amber color, with a decent head. Aroma of malt and sugar. Taste is way too watery, with too low carbonation. Taste is defined by malt, wood and toffee. A little too sweet, due to too much molasse. No aftertaste at all.

A good-tasting ale, this reddish beer has a small head and a good color. Body is medium. Malt taste is straight forward, with little complexity, but a very good flavor. Hops are medium in strength and balance nicely with the malt flavor.

The 5.2% export version is still available on tap, although it may be better if it wasn’t. Pint in St Petersburg, Russia. Very watery considering the abv, yet not refreshing in the least. Smell of rotten eggs, unpleasant mouth feel and astringent after taste. I’d been warned that this was not a good beer but decided to find out for myself. Horror show.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Didn't like a taste at all. Too watery I guess. I've missed some richness.

Gulen bru med kremete beige skum. Karamellukt. Søt karamell i smak også. Lite kullsyre og bitterhet.

Mørk gyllen brun farge med kremhvitt skum. Noe søtlig i smak. Litt kjedelig og lite lukt. Hint av karamellmalt. Lettdrikkelig øl. Ganske så flat carbonation.

5% ABV Mini-Cask from Tesco, Gateshead. A dark amber ale, creamy with slight burnt toffee flavours, liquorice notes and a red fruity finish.

I like OSH, both bottled and cask. This was one of three pints and I suspect we were getting to the end of the barrel. Mine was okay the other two said ’no thanks’ to another and switched to Greene King IPA.
