Tap (hand pump) pint. Not a huge aroma, light toffee. Amber colour with a very tightly packed head (similar to nitro) and excellent lacing all the way to the end. Nice to watch it being pulled and then having to settle for over a minute. Taste was very mild but went perfectly with the meal as it didnít overwhelm. Malty, slight toffee sweet minimal bitterness - exceptionally smooth. Nice creamy mouthfeel, and short palate - not clean and crisp, but not lingering either. Overall better than the bottle and cask is superior to the normal tap too. Really nice easy drinking, for a relaxed cool (but not cold) weather day.

Cask at The Black Lake, Meir Heath. A clear amber colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, some dark fruits, slight yeast and subtle spicy hops. Taste of caramel, toffee, some dark fruits, slight yeast, a little metal and subtle spicy, earthy hops. Medium bodied and a smooth texture. A dryish, malty, fruity, spicy hop bitterness in the finish. A fruity, malty beer. Not exciting but itís smooth and has a good body. Ok for a cask bitter.

Bottle 50cl, bittere nasmaak, helder en oranjebruine kleur, ijzerachtig en droog in de mond, niet een biertje dat makkelijk wegdrinkt.

Tap @Harvester, Bristol.
Small head, amber/gold colour, toffee aroma, bitter aftertaste, light body, quite sparkling. Generally not bad, however it was served a bit too cold.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A good beer. Has nothing to get too exited about. It has a well balanced aroma of caramel and hops. Itís taste is a combination of malts, hop and caramel. All of it light in concentratio and complementing eachother.

Good colour, thick head, on tap, darker colour, a bit of iron in taste, medium bitter. Not enough taste of beer and too much "watery" taste

Cask at the Field House, Solihull. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is sweet malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth rich malty, nutty hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
