Least liked of the three Irish brews that i tried tonight....i am not a esb fan so maybe i am biased....not much flavor and very dry and bitter on finish...just not for me.

I am surprised I haven’t put a review of this on here before as I have drank loadss of it over the years. From can pours typical bitter colour with white minimal foamy head. Aroma is metallic, slightly toasted malt, brown sugar and slightly grassy hops. Taste is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Quite watery texture. Drinkable but very average, I have had much better and much worse.

Bottle into a nonic pint. Nice, mild caramel and toffee flavors leading into a soft bitter finish. Not the greatest ESB, but always welcome.

Copenhagen 24/12 20-5. 35,5 cl bottle from Skjold Burne. In the classic clear glass bottle. Pours clear copper brown with white head. Settles as flimsy layer of foam. Aroma of malts and caramel sweetness with a little brown sugar. A little sourness. But not a very distinct aroma. Soft carbonation and watery palate. A bit flat. Caramel and toffee give some sweetness which is followed by medium bitter aftertaste. Nice enough English bitter which is only moderately bitter after all.

Flaske. Farven er nøddebrun med en cremefarvet skumkrone, Aromaen er blomme og sødlig malt medens smagen er brød og karamel efterfulgt af en humlet tørhed.

Bottle 355ml. Poured into a washington glass. Firstly, much different to when I’ve had it on tap. Aroma was toffee. Appearance was of a flat beer - almost zero head which went to the faintest ring I’ve ever experienced in a beer that wasn’t completely flat. Toffee coloured to match the scent. Sweet tasting with toffee notes a little hint of fruit. Overall nice, but wasn’t a match for what I’d describe as a bitter.

Dark nutty brown appearance with some head that doesn’t last long. Tastes of bitter caramel, nuts and grass. Medium body, somewhat aggressive carbonation, and a hoppy, floral finish. Fresh and bitter
