6/27/2010. From bottle. Amber with a white head. Caramel and malt aromas. Light fruit, caramel, and light hops. A bit watery, but drinkable.

Pours golden read with thin white head. Aroma of caramel, herbs, a little bit earthy.. A little bite of bitterness that fades quite fast. Really enjoyed this one, an easy beer to drink and enjoy.

Bottle. Can not believe I have not rated this before. Pours a light brown colour with a white head, malty aroma, taste is light and sweet with a dry fruity finish.

Mooie ale dit. Mooie fles, mooi rode kleur en bier met mooie tonen en veel diepte. Maar na 1 flesje is het ook weer genoeg.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2014 Pours a clear golden with a thin white head that leaves few lacing. Nose is of caramel, earthy hops and fruits. Taste is of fruits (pears in syrup?) and caramel. Quite sweet but bitterness is medium-high so it remains drinkable. Body is medium and carbonation a bit on the lower side. Mouthfeel is oily. Overall an OK beer but a bit dull.

(1273-031014)

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2014 500ml can poured in a chalice. Very nice British Ale. Smooth and refreshing A: Red and clean with many bubbles around. Huge and creamy yellow head which dissipates slowly leaving a thin layer on top and many lacings around the glass S: Smells caramel malts and fresh flowery hops, basically. A bit fruity and a bit of alcohol can be felt in the end T: Tastes is pretty much like the nose. Sweet up front. Sweet caramel malts and a moderate bitter and "hoppy" end M: Pleasant. Quite creamy to a light body and refreshing beer. Well done, for sure. Moderate bittereness and carbonation. A little bit molasses D: High. Delicious bitter. I would drink all they long, you can bet it... ;) [ BA Review @ 7/23/2010 ]

"the nitro version has a bit more astringent bitterness to it, maybe because the other flavors (mainly the yeast and hops) have subsided. I think i like it better from a bottle - not a big enough beer to be interesting enough on nitro. Both are in the "pretty good" range.

20oz bottle. Pours clear red-amber with a thin, off-white head. Aroma is herby and resiny hops with a bit of cough drop and fruitiness. Mild malty sweetness with some butterscotch and dough flavors. Middle goes to dry, herby and resiny hop flavor, finishes with a long, very dry (though not too bitter) hop linger. Light to medium body with a slick mouthfeel and active carbonation. Overall, a very quafable beer, but not much standing out.
