Bottle from a sampler pack received as a gift back around Christmas. Delayed consumption based on anticipated low ceiling for beers from this brewery. Pours a copper color with an off white or almost tan head. Quickly dissipates. Aroma was non-existent in the bottle but gives off a slightly sour dark fruit smell upon pouring into a glass. Malty presence with a bitterness. Taste has elements of caramel and roasted, nutty qualities. Bitter notes come into play towards the end. Slight funk that Iím struggling to determine if itís from a lack of freshness or intentionally put into play by the brewer. Overall, sweeter than I anticipated but itís a very average to below average beer.

Pours clear amber with medium white head. Malty aroma. Taste balanced towards hops, smooth, medicinal/robitussin flavor, lemon, and banana. Light mouthfeel with low carbonation. Very drinkable beer. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Very popular and really easy drinking beer indeed. Faint aroma of fruits, malt, mineral. Taste is malty, fruity with very short medium bitter finish. Thin to medium body. Tongue biting soda-like carbonation.

A drinkability é boa. Uma boa cerveja, porém deixa um pouco a desejar com relação às porters tradicionais, sendo uma cerveja mais easygoing para o dia a dia. Boa para qualquer ocasião.

Another good Greene King Ale, and one with a certain recognition, this is one of my Reliableís. On itís Nose I donít pick up as much as others, but is still a malty, hoppy aroma, particularly fresh. Pours a very Rich, Reddish copper, with a solid body and a medium, fluffy head which is thin. In the mouth it feels rather mediocre, with some carbonation, creamy soft and light/watery. It Boasts a good tasty kick of Malt, a wholegrain bread, with a decent dashing of Nuttiness, rather like Mild Almondís with a subtle citrus kick, Demerara sugar, which finishes in a long impressive caramel esque after-taste. Goes Amazing with a Sunday Roast.
