12 oz. bottle; Why the clear bottle ? A little skunky, but still very drinkable. Hard-to-describe, strange, pungent aroma, but some English hop (Kent Golding ?) aroma. Fairly small off-white head that faded quickly. Nice copper color. Malty taste that starts sweet and roasty, but finishes a somewhat cloying bitterness. A decent bitter that I’d drink again.

Can on train. Pours clear, amber. Small tan head is just a ring around my glass. Malty, sweet nose. Rather flat mouthfeel. Light body. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 11/30/2013. Pours crystal clear reddish copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, toast, brown bread, plum, apple, honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, yeast ester, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, toast, brown bread, plum, apple, nuttiness, light roast, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, brown bread, nuttiness, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of dark/bready malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean in flavor as well. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very nice English pale ale! All around good balance and robustness of dark/bready malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle to English pint. Pours deep amber, quick head, scant lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, herbs and ripe plums. Taste is rather sweet with some earthy bitterness. Light body, lively carbonation, mouth feel is a little sticky. Finishes sweet with earthy bitterness at the end. It’s OK but could be more bitter for my taste.

Flaska från SB. Karamellig i doften, likt engelsk kola. Lite karamell återfinns i smaken tillsammans med blommig beska. Stiltypisk och lättdrucken.

Can from Yamaya. Mild dark dried fruit nose: raisins and light prunes. Deep copper color, with a thin creamy beige head. Rich tasty malty initial, fruity and then balanced. Hops come out in a determined manner and linger quite a bit. Thin body, and a little watery. Tasty, a bit thin, but very drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a medium amount of head. Smells of roast and caramel. Taste is overwhelmingly malty and a bit bready with a fair amount of sweetness. Heavy sticky mouthfeel, not too carbonated.

Dark amber color. Average foam. Malty smell with little bit of alcohol. Taste of malt, sugar, caramel and fusel. Delicate gentian at the finish
