This classic english pale ale is a good example of a well sessionable ale. Slightly on the sweet side this beer has a great up-front aroma and is very satisfying in the mouth. An easy beer to drink for all occasions. Pairs well with almost any hearty food and can be enjoyed just as well on its own. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Clear amber pour with a big dense beige head. Aroma is malty toffee and biscuit. Flavour is light, sweet and malty, a little toffee, not a lot going on. Thin and not much carbonation. Pretty disappointing.

500 ml can from Sobeys Liquor, served in a goblet. Pours a clear, light cola-caramel shade, with moderate carbonation, and a creamy, smooth, well-retained head of light mocha that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma is a rich, dense, toasty maltiness, with dark wood, deep red berries, and cinnamon with brown sugar. The flavor presents interesting and delectable hints of whiskey aged in lightly charred oak amidst its softly sweet malt panorama, like a more restrained Innis & Gunn offering. There’s caramel and vanilla flourishes as well. Creamy texture and moderately chewy, with a gently lingering finish. A superb example of the wonderful results when maltsters and brewers recombine their efforts. Malterrific beer!
