Pours a clear and copper beer with a white head. The aroma is malt and caramel. The flavor follows the nose with additional hops with grass. The palate is sweetness. Overall an average beer.

Mooie ale dit. Mooie fles, mooi rode kleur en bier met mooie tonen en veel diepte. Maar na 1 flesje is het ook weer genoeg.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2014 Pours a clear golden with a thin white head that leaves few lacing. Nose is of caramel, earthy hops and fruits. Taste is of fruits (pears in syrup?) and caramel. Quite sweet but bitterness is medium-high so it remains drinkable. Body is medium and carbonation a bit on the lower side. Mouthfeel is oily. Overall an OK beer but a bit dull.

(1273-031014)

500ml can poured in a chalice. Very nice British Ale. Smooth and refreshing A: Red and clean with many bubbles around. Huge and creamy yellow head which dissipates slowly leaving a thin layer on top and many lacings around the glass S: Smells caramel malts and fresh flowery hops, basically. A bit fruity and a bit of alcohol can be felt in the end T: Tastes is pretty much like the nose. Sweet up front. Sweet caramel malts and a moderate bitter and "hoppy" end M: Pleasant. Quite creamy to a light body and refreshing beer. Well done, for sure. Moderate bittereness and carbonation. A little bit molasses D: High. Delicious bitter. I would drink all they long, you can bet it... ;) [ BA Review @ 7/23/2010 ]

"the nitro version has a bit more astringent bitterness to it, maybe because the other flavors (mainly the yeast and hops) have subsided. I think i like it better from a bottle - not a big enough beer to be interesting enough on nitro. Both are in the "pretty good" range.

20oz bottle. Pours clear red-amber with a thin, off-white head. Aroma is herby and resiny hops with a bit of cough drop and fruitiness. Mild malty sweetness with some butterscotch and dough flavors. Middle goes to dry, herby and resiny hop flavor, finishes with a long, very dry (though not too bitter) hop linger. Light to medium body with a slick mouthfeel and active carbonation. Overall, a very quafable beer, but not much standing out.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden honey coloured with some head. Nose - cream and toffee and gentle biscuit malt in the background. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy sweet texture and a finish that could be fresher. Overall - it’s alright, I guess!

courtesy of Jaghana Couleur ambrée, très légère mousse. Nez caramel sucré et houblon. Gout caramel et petite amertume de houblon, mais très sèche et corps très léger. Malgrés tout pas trop mal dans le style Bitter

Crystal clear caramel copper pour. Medium white head dissipates quickly. Bready aroma with a red wine like aroma. Flavor is deep, malty, and coffee. Sweet finish. ---Rated via iPhone
