Best name ever for a beer. When I ordered this recently, some idiots with Bud Lights mocked me for ordering such an odd beer. Delicious, incredibly smooth. I love it unbelievably much. Only the pub can though, gentleman. The bottle version is just flat tasting by comparison. The pub can is so smooth and delicious. Wonderful in everyway, this is now my beer of choice when I go out. Beautiful effect when you pour it, like a Guinness. Has some of that mouthfeel of a Guinness, but nowhere near as thick. Light, smooth and delicious. Yes sir, I will have another.
DrDavid (117), , Vermont, USA Aug 16, 2008 (Bottle). Sourish hoppy aroma. A pretty color, reddish amber with a moderate off-white head. Unpleasant cardboard taste, with unpleasant skunky aftertaste. Not a good experience, possibly a sample impaired by clear bottle. benfergy (41), Valley City, North Dakota, USA Aug 14, 2008 Medium brown appearance. The aroma of this beer is very pleasant; it’s a little hoppy, and a little wheaty. As for the flavor, it starts out with a very strong malt flavor, but later, the hops become the most evident. The palate is very smooth. This was a beer I knew little about, and I ended up liking it a lot! Steinface (63), Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 14, 2008 Had the bottled version in England, and I’m pretty sure that the ABV was higher there. Very pink in color. Would drink again Sparky27 (498), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 11, 2008 Pint can. Pours a clear dark gold with one finger fine white head. Nose is nuts, sweet malts and faint hops. Taste is malt, light citrus and metal. Went flat quickly – boring beer. Watery mouth feel. Not very good. jodyperkins (64), Mississippi, USA Aug 7, 2008 Clear bottle. Pinkish brown color without much of a head. Nice aroma and mouthfeel. Flavor seemed a bit unfresh but it was pleasant to drink. I’d have another.
