A Mes rate:
From a JDW. Diacetyl and iron filings. Pretty awful if you ask me. Something very gents toilets about it. Acrid and pretty close to vile.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 hughie (3994) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 11, 2007
Cask at The Three Tuns, Biddenham, Bedfordshire. Amber with a small cream head. Hop and malt aroma. Taste begins quite malty and biscuity, but a watery middle fails to deliver the expected bitter finish. Not bad, but some ingredients missing.

Cask Conditioned at The Cock, Combe, Oxon. Orange amber beer with bubbly head. To be honest G.K have improved on the original, this is a decent autiumn type malty bitter drunk in a very pretty old pub on the quiet end of Blenheim Palace. Sweetly drinkable but still not a great beer.

March, 2004: JDW Welling Woody amber colour with a fair spread of frothy and clinging bubbles. The base is quite dry, but playing alongside and just on top is a velvet sweetness. Vanilla icecream is one of the initial flavours with some rusty and nutty notes mingling attractively. There’s fruit which evades pining down, and a pleasant low bitterness which increases slightly in the finish before settling on a stewed note. Pleasant, with some character, but nothing special. [3.0]
March, 2005:Ropemaker’s Arms, Chatham. Slightly sweet and sticky toffe accented best bitter with a soft lingering earthy finish. [3.1]
