COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mornington Peninsula Brown is an English-style Brown Ale, at 5.0% ABV. Brewed using classic imported English ale malts, our Brown displays all the wonderful rich and toffee characters associated with these malts. Pouring a deep golden brown with hints of red, aromas of toffee, brown sugar and raisins greet the nose. The palate offers more toffee and raisins, with a supporting cast of chocolate and nuts. Rich, full-bodied, smooth and moreish.

Poured a nearly clear mid-brown colour with a one-finger light tan foamy head that retained well but didn’t lace. Carbonation low and medium sized bubbles. Aroma strongly of chocolate. Taste of strong sweet chocolate but no real bitterness. Light body, a bit thin. Smooth and creamy with chocolate on the finish.

330mL bottle, Beerbud Advent pack. Dark chocolate brown with short foamy head. Lifted caramel, brown sugar and coffee aromas. Long soft palate, more coffee and caramel together with hazelnut. Slightly soapy, soft gentle finish. Decent style and flavour.

Drunk from bottle. Upfront nuttiness and roasted malt along with hints of smokey charcoal. Long finish with bitterness coming to the fore followed by a nice chocolate ending.

Deep brown with a thin tan head. Burnt sugar, coffee, a little dark fruit on the nose. Taste is toffee, a little coffee and Arnotts milk coffee biscuits, a little bit of dryness and bitterness at the end.

That’s what I’m talking about. Aroma immediately brings coffee to the fore. Lovely brown ale. Full bodied with toffee and brown sugar overtones. Wouldn’t drink to many but that to me adds value to the overall character.

As "Mornington Brown Ale".
Brown color, tan head. Roasted, grainy taste. Grainy, dry aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Malty, clean, light roasted scent.

Pours a dark brown colour with a medium pale head. Aroma of malt and fresh cut grass. Flavour of resin with a mildly bitter aftertaste on the palate. A reasonable beer.

Minimal head and dark with a really rich brown nutty flavor. Probally not sessionable but you’d go back for a second. Nice drinking

330ml bottle. Deep cola colour with small head. Very sweet aroma - loads of caramel, hint of coffee, burnt toast. The taste is just as the smell promises, with a little nuttiness too. The thinner body helps make it more drinkable than it would be otherwise. Pretty good.

330ml bottle from Queen Victoria Markets, Melbourne. Pours copper brown with a small tan head that reduces to a stable film. Aroma has caramel, light coffee and light fruity hoppiness. Taste is medium sweet maltiness with a mild dry hop bitterness. I get none of the nuttiness of the best brown ales. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
