COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s “light orange-tinted amber in colour” and features the stone fruit aromas – peach and apricots – you’d expect from a beer given generous late kettle additions of Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops. An initially sweet malty palate opens up to a fruity mid-palate flavour and an evermore prominent bitterness.

Pours a hazy orange with a pillow white head, lively sparkle and a few floaties. Getting lots of peach, along with some lemon, orange, pine needles and a light earthy note on the nose. Taste has firm hop bitterness with pine resin at the front end, dropping off to some gentler apple, spice, malt and citrus flavours. Quite a clean finish with a citrus aftertaste. Really well balanced, elegant and a great example of the style. Probably closer to a US IPA than your average Aussie brewer produces. Really good stuff.

Impeccable version. Amber colour, citrus and passionfruit aroma with a huge hop wack in the mid and back palate and a very long bitter finish. Great beer. Notes from the tap at the brewery but score from bottle

HopRedHead (123) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - APR 18, 2013
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a cloudy amber with 3-4cm of slowly receding off-white head. Upfront stonefruit hop aroma with a nice caramel malt backing. Smells like a big beer. Tastes like one too; big citrus and tropical fruit hop flavours with a nice dark/toasty malt sweetness. Had to re-check the label to make sure it wasn’t a double IPA! Great lingering bitterness, pleasantly surprised with this beer!

Very nice on the nose, this is a very good IPA, that gives you some lingering bitterness, sweetness and big hop flavours.

Pours an amber colour with a tall frothy off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, caramel, pine, biscuit and hops. Taste is medium sweet leading to a large and bitey bitter finish. Really quite surprisingly good.

Bottle from Slowbeer. Sweet, fruity aroma, passionfruit/ripe peaches. Well balanced flavours, easy drinking, solid hop bitterness. Very nice. Really liking Mornington’s beers!

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a nice golden orange with a fluffy white head. Aromas up front are hops, grapefruit and mango. Maybe some floral tones in there too. Taste is very tropical fruit driven and the hops come through even more. Mild bitterness leaves the palate wanting more. This is really good stuff for the price ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Label states 6.4% ABV. Deep amber pour with decent white head that laces well. Aromas of peach, oranges and apricot dominate the nose. Palate is honey sweet and malty at the beginning before a substantial resinous hop bitterness takes over. Medium bodied with slick mouthfeel. A good well balanced IPA.

From the bottle. Pleasant sweet aroma dominated by fruit - passionfruit. A growing mid palate with some malt sweetness, the flavour is dominated by the finishing grapefruit bitterness that lingers on the roof of the mouth. Pretty good version of the style. Enjoyable.

Pours burnt amber with a medium white head. Strong hoppy aroma, stonefruits, mango, some floral notes. Taste is burnt hops, coffee malts, and toast.
