COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s “light orange-tinted amber in colour” and features the stone fruit aromas – peach and apricots – you’d expect from a beer given generous late kettle additions of Citra, Simcoe and Centennial hops. An initially sweet malty palate opens up to a fruity mid-palate flavour and an evermore prominent bitterness.

330ml bottle. Heavy in the glass which is always a sign of a good beer. Orangey amber colour with a low even layer of foam that sits nicely. The aroma is full of big citrus hop notes that fill the nose, also some passionfruit in there? In the mouth it is full and rich with just the slightest hint of bitterness. Big brash flavour with a mixture of maltiness and fruitiness, a good blend that sits in the mouth well.

Tap. Great IPA. Aromas of caramel, grass, and pine. Taste is bitter, with sweet notes, and good length. Palate is velvety, with a medium body. Amber, with a frothy head.

Copper amber colour, lacey thick head. Stone fruit aromas, great mix of hops on a sweet malty backbone. Really surprised with this find, excellent example of a US IPA. Great beer.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours opaque amber with a small, sticky off white head. Citra and Simcoe hops are showcased nicely in this one. Passionfruit, mango, citrus all jumps out the glass at you. Very fruit forward and punchbowl like. All comes through in the taste. Vibrant fruit driven with a long, and nice grapefruit bitter finish. Very good beer

Rich orange in colour with apparent haziness. The aroma is extremely pleasant with notes of plum, apricot, orange zest, and yeasty character. The body seems characteristic of an English IPA but it’s far more enjoyable due to its fruity hop character. Really enjoying this.

From a 330ml bottle on 15/1/2012. Pours a murky very dark orange with a small to medium head. Has a strong and pleasant aroma of peach, apricot and passionfruit, with some piney hop notes. In the mouth, there’s a light sweet caramel malt and a barrage of stone fruits (particularly peach) and some orange marmalade. But it’s definitely hop oriented, with a huge, long resinous grapefruit bitterness the most distinct feature. Has a relatively thick texture. This is very good US style IPA, which is just a little bit different and perhaps more intense than the norm. .

Notes of lemon, honeydew and honey in the aroma. followed by a heap of grapefruit on the tongue, with a little Tang on the sides of the tongue and hints of coffee and chocolate. Absolutely lovely. I love Mornington brewery.

Impeccable version. Amber colour, citrus and passionfruit aroma with a huge hop wack in the mid and back palate and a very long bitter finish. Great beer. Notes from the tap at the brewery but score from bottle

Pours a hazy orange with a pillow white head, lively sparkle and a few floaties. Getting lots of peach, along with some lemon, orange, pine needles and a light earthy note on the nose. Taste has firm hop bitterness with pine resin at the front end, dropping off to some gentler apple, spice, malt and citrus flavours. Quite a clean finish with a citrus aftertaste. Really well balanced, elegant and a great example of the style. Probably closer to a US IPA than your average Aussie brewer produces. Really good stuff.

Pours an amber colour with a tall frothy off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, caramel, pine, biscuit and hops. Taste is medium sweet leading to a large and bitey bitter finish. Really quite surprisingly good.
