On tap. Jet black pour with tanned head. Nose full of chocolate and dark fruits. Very dark chocolate driven. Subtle roasted coffee in there too. Liquorice and raisins come through as well. Incredibly smooth. Mouth left coated in choc. Very nice imperial stout alcohol hidden well

Pours black with a dark tan head. Nose shows strong roasted malt and coffee along with some floral notes and booze. Big roasty and boozy flavours too, a little harsh in the finish. Some sweet malt presents itself underneath. Could use a bit more carbonation.

Really good RIS. It gives the likes of wild thing a run for its money. Black pour, beautiful flavours of coffee and cocoa. A little watery at times but overall a thoroughly enjoyable stout.

330 ML bottle Thanks to Owen for the bottle Black pour. Really nice dark leather brown head. Almost reverse cascading. Impressive and thick looking. Lots of bakers chocolate, burnt marshmallow, dark fruits and a lot of licorice. Little bit of char and ash in the nose. Dry as heck. Lots of licorice to start. Bitter licorice. Once settled down a lot of dark fruits and chocolate. Bold and dry. A bit too much alcohol for the ABV but a good RIS either way. One of the better one’s around here.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2012 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Great pour. Sinister black looking with a small but firm dark tan head leaving some nice lacing. Head lasts for the duration. Nose is all about chocolate and dark fruits. Heavy on the dark chocoale with a feel of dates to it. Caramel behind it all. Nice. Taste is fudgey dark chocolate with heavy christmas cakey fruits to it, a touch of caramel and hoppy bitterness on the finish. A little boozy is a slight let down but a minimal one. Creamy velvet mouth feel which is nice. Solid stuff, should improve a fair bit with some ageing, just need to mellow out that booze a little

Smooth tasting, smooth smelling stout that goes down really smoothly. Got a ounce of alcohol on this one with a superb coffee and chocolate hit. Nice syrupy beverage that takes time to enjoy.

Black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasty with molasses, mocha, vanilla, anise, dark rum. Lots of chocolate and vanilla, some tar, prunes, balancing bitterness that creeps up a little. A little woody and slightly peppery at the end, too. Just short of syrupy with delicate carbonation. Classy drop.

On tap at BeerDeLuxe. Great balance. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, and vanilla. Taste is sweet and bitter, with sour notes, and long length. Palate is syrupy, and full bodied. Black, with a frothy head.
