On tap at The Scratch. Pale hazy yellow colour with straw like aroma. Clean in the mouth and on the palate. Good beer without being great.

Nose is a touh piney, otherwise, not much. Appearance is straw coloured with white head. Taste is piney, citrus, a touch of a fruity yougurt taste from the fruit and creamy notes that work well together. I also get a bit of corriander and apple - the sorachi hops play well into this beer. Palate is bitter but kind, quite pleasant.

Looks like a lager, champagne colour, hazy with a thick frothy white head. Little aroma to speak of (due to the head), but has some fruity touches. Sweet and fruity, almost like a wine. Has an almost - I kid you not - massaman curry flavour, don’t know why I think that. It’s ok.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours hazy yellow with a small white cap, leaving nice lacing. Nose is very tangy and full of lemon zest. Gives me the feel of sucking on a lemon before I’ve even tasted it, something I’m not too keen on but I can see the appeal. Loads of lemon and citrus zest notes in the taste. Very clean cut lemon in this one. A little one dimensional but ok for a quaffer I suppose, not my kind of thing though

Pours gold with a large head. Nose shows spicy and herbal hops along with faint lemon custard and soft clean malt. Similar flavours, pretty much the same characters as mentioned above followed by a mild bitterness. Carbonation seems a little excessive.

Large head medium carbonation aroma sharp fruit hay note lemon not much sweet notes flavour mainly lemon grassy some grain not much to it the finish overpowering sorachi taste not really a good flavour with the other choices boring bit grassy and grainy but no thanks

Tap. Cloudy yellow with a modest white head. Aroma of lemon Eno, some herbs. Characteristic Mornington pleasantly restrained carbonation. Barely sweet with a crisp finish. Lemony and herbal. Dominated by Sorachi Ace and not for me.

Draughts the Local Taphouse (St Kilda). I still find myself bemused by this hop. Herbaceous, peppery, lemony. A savory bitternes.

(Local Taphouse Syd $6.10 310ml). Absolute cracker of a beer. Light bodied as one would expect and a wonderfully expressive chunk of pepper and crushed slate. Dry finish with some trailing aniseed. Awesome dry beer for summer and would make a great crossover to craft for the masses.

Sweet fruit citrus aroma. Clear pale yellow cilour great hrad snd lacing. Sweet malt candy bubblegum flavour. Fizzy palate.
