| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 9, 2009 Bottle from Tesco. Golden with thin white head. I tried one when very drunk and thought not bad at all for those pair of eejits. Second time I tried it wasn’t as impressed at all. Not awful by any strecth but far from great. It does taste like a hybrid between a lager and an ale so at least they’ve done what they wanted. I like many though think it’s a crime when there are people who could have brewed better not getting a chance to sell it but these two do becauise they’re celebrities. Curse the British public. Sad twats. Beer isn’t awful tho. johndoughty (2170), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England

an a pale yellow appearance.So so-would it have got a listing at Tesco’s if it wasn’t for all the TV coverage. I think not! jimthree (9), Bedfordshire, England does not count | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 11, 2009 thin head despite lots of carbonation. pleasant aroma but slightly odd taste, perhaps a little chemical. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Mar 3, 2009 Big cereal flavours but in all it’s pretty nothingy. Not much of a smell to it nor a flavour It has a good smoothness in its thick oily texture. Really rather unimpressed. cgarvieuk (4275), Edinburgh, Scotland

Pale yellow ... Light grassy hop ... light lagery unpleasent bitterness and offensive ... this was totally drain pour for all three of us. hughie (3091), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 30, 2009 Gold with a white head. I like the aroma, which is in my opinion the best feature. It began rather biscuity, continued with sweet caramel, and ended with vanilla ice cream. Taste is citrus with some grain and a sharp hoppy finish. scotty (838), Scotland
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 21, 2009 After watching the tv programme in which these two (apparently) inexperienced brewers came up with this beer at their very first attempt I had to try this. It does look the part, light golden colour thick white head, nice fruity nose, just like the label says. It is, unfortunately, thin and unbalanced, highly hopped, but lacking body, needs more malt.Yes,OK! it would be a respectable first homebrew, but this is overall, below average. The label says it’s intended to be a hybrid, somewhere between an ale and a lager, and I suppose that could be right, it’s just that the ale and lager it comes between aren’t very good!
